Women who shoot BPCR at YOUR club
How many of you have a woman that regularly shoots BPCR at your club?

How cool is that !!! That is Jeanne's goal for this summer, shoot into master class.
She'll probably get there before I do .

It’s funny you should say that because this lady we shoot with is on track to beat her husband into the master class. She is a natural. Very talented.

Ian - am guessing you are speaking of Karen. Indeed, a force to be reckoned with at any match she shoots.
We used to have an attorney shoot with us most matches in PA. She was also very good and believe she owns a national record for women (if memory serves she shot that score at the MI regional match). Unfortunately, she & her husband split up and she no longer shoots.
At most matches at Shippensburg we have three women shooters who are quite competitive in their respective classes. One is also a master-level shooter in F-Class with a 6.5x47 in an Eliseo chassis.

Glenn, You are thinking of those MI women and they are tough competitors. You did not shoot in Ky last year because of the Covid. There is a new woman on the scene in KY, Jenna Abrams, she's good. You will meet her this year if you get to KY. Her and her husband are very nice folks and both are good shooters. KY needed some new blood and they are a great addition.

Yes I was speaking of Jenna. Her and her husband are newer shooters although she just started shooting part way through the season last year. She held a rifle and thought she would want one. They bought a Shiloh off the rack in 45-70 and she has been doing very well with it. Our last match of the season last year she was the winner and shot her second master score in irons. I have no doubt she will get her 3rd one sometime this spring. It has been really fun to watch her come up so fast. Pretty cool

Women are the future of the shooting sports. If women shoot, guys and kids will usually follow.
In high-power rifle silhouette, Kathy W instead Severn is usually the one to beat at a match..and she is SO nice. She'll give tips on how to beat her!

We encourage women to shoot our matches every chance we get.

Re: Women who shoot BPCR at YOUR club
Not too many years ago, one of our western Montana BPCR match directors was interested in retiring from his position. After I expressed interest in helping out, I was told by the match director that the range board of directors refused to allow me to be a match director as I am a woman and would embezzle the entry funds. True story.

None!
I don't always shoot well, but when I do there isn't any reason.

Jeanne has been match director at the local, and national Level. If we ever heard someone treat a woman like that.....
