Gentlemen
I know this is guessing but, after getting dialed in at 200 yards what would you guess the come ups would be for shooting silhouette with a
45-70
30 inch barrel
530 grain Steve Brooks grease groove bullet
71 grains swiss 2F
Soule sight
I think around 14 from chickens to pigs
add another 12 from pigs to turkeys
add another 22 from turkeys to rams
Sighting in by ones self can be tough, any help appreciated and I know its not going to be exact.
Thanks!

Re: Come Ups
If it is a Shiloh #1 Sporter 30" Heavy Barrel full Octagon. Presently I'm running 66 gr. Swiss 1.5 with a BACO 535 gr. Postell. If they are MVA sights my settings are:
Chickens 39 - 41
Pigs 55 - 57
Turkeys 70 - 72
Rams 89 - 91
Rule of thumb is 20 MOA per 100 meters but of course the Turkeys aren't a full 100. The variance is due to atmospheric conditions. YMMV

Thanks Deadeye, like I said, just wanting to get in the ballpark so hopefully I can get on paper or at least see some dirt disturbed when sighting in by myself.
Appreciate it.

Re: Come Ups
The +15, +15, +20 rule will get you close enough for a good spotter to get you on target quickly with nearly any of our rifles. My .40-65 shoots a little flatter, than my .45-70's, but not by a huge amount.
