2022 22BPCRA National Match & Big Bore July 10th, - 13th, 2022

The match dates are set so it's time to tell everyone...

22BPCRA Nationals sight in is July 10th, three daily matches on the 11th, 12, and 13th, planning on 60 shot matches.

14 July is a rest day, big bore sight in/practice, check in for Big Bore, sight see, etc.

Big Bore 2 day match on July 15th & 16th, 60 shot matches

Everyone can drive home on Sunday July 17th.

So if you're looking for a fun week of shooting, fellowshipping with like minded competitors (all who are fun and pleasurable to be around) them mark you calendar and come out to the Whittington Center in July.

** UPDATE 1 **

The 22BPCRA Board of Directors has decided to press forward with this match on its scheduled dates. We signed contracts with the Whittington Center in October 2021 and stand by our commitment and our word. This match is the 10th anniversary of the 22BPCRA Nationals and we're going to do it up right! Shooter packets will be full of neat stuff, fancy official name tags, we're planning a meal at the completion of the third days match, and we're working with a few companies for a few more surprises.

We encourage all competitors to support both this match and the NRA's nationals if possible, if you can't then support the match who has supported competitors the best.

So, if the Whittington Centers calendar is correct, they have their regular monthly BPCR silhouette match on July 9th, then their regular monthly 22 BPCR silhouette match on July the 10th. That means if a guy showed up a couple days early he could shoot 1 day of big bore, 1 day of 22, then shoot 3 days of the 22 BPCRA Nationals take a day of then shoot 2 days of the International big bore silhouette match. That's some great days of shooting right there all together.

I asked Huey about the BPCR match and his response was they normally cancel the matches, BPCR and 22 the month of 22 nationals and another BPCR match.
Don't know if he would consider having the match, maybe just for fun with a small entry fee, if enough folks offered to help and there was interest. I for one would help since I've done a match or two in my day. It would take Huey because of the insurance and other issues required by the Whit for a match to happen. Glenda was doing the 22 matches, don't know if she still is or if she would consider having a match the day before the .22 Nationals set up on the range.
The more bang for my buck would be great.

Thanks for the explanation Dick. I just wondered because we was thinking about practicing 22 the day before the match. The Whittington Center needs to update those dates so people don’t think those matches are going on when they are canceled.

Easy to take a shotgun. Not so easy to shotgun shells these days.

Even with out a match you can go to the ranges at get some trigger time on the silhouettes

We are just a little less than 3 months away before the .22 BPCRA National match in Raton, New Mexico. With Jim Luke's Lever Gun match just before this match and a two day BPCR match after, this makes the drive to New Mexico well worth your effort to attend. So, look at your shooting schedule and put this match on it! Entry forms are just above to fill out and turn in!

The International Championship is 69 days away and we have 60 registered shooters with a bunch of "yeah I'm coming but haven't sent in yet" conversations. Please don't wait much longer as we cap at 90 shooters.

The custom, one of a kind belt buckles have been orders and you'll really want to win one of these!! They are sharp. Prizes are a little slim this year as a lot of businesses have scaled back on donating because of the events of the past 2 years and overall inflation, but we're working hard to make this a wonderful match.
