New to the Shiloh Sharps family

Post by Keith Nickolisen »

I’m new to the Shiloh Sharps family this week, thanks for adding me to the group. Looking around to find reloading supplies on the web. Where is a good place to buy, sell or trade used brass, dies and reloading supplies? GunBrocker doesn’t seem to have much. Thanks

Welcome!!! I bought most of my stuff from Buffalo Arms, Shiloh, Midway, Starline brass, Captech (Jamison) brass. Powder Inc also sells black powder. Buffalo Arms are great people to deal with as are the folks at Shiloh.

Welcome Keith! Let us know roughly where you are and there is a good chance someone on the forum lives nearby who can give you loading advice and info on local matches.

I’m in Iowa. just got my first Shiloh this week. I need to find some 45-70 brass and have some 40-70 SS 30/40 Krag to trade that came with the package I bought.

Where in Iowa?

As an Iowan, I prefer to get my brass direct from Starline Brass - you can google them pretty easily.

Hope i get to see this rifle in person.

I’m in SW Iowa. You? I always admired the Shilohs and now that the Iowa DNR made it legal to hunt deer with 45-70, I had no other choice than to buy one. I would post a picture if I knew how on this forum.

For one-stop BP supplies, I doubt that Buffalo Arms can be beat.

Welcome, would suggest Winchester brass for the 45/70. You can get a few more grains of powder in them compared to Rem, Federal or Starline.

This is my first post as I just became a member here today. I get my brass from Starline when I can't find them at Sportsman's Warehouse which is real close to my place.
