I'm building a Sharps rifle on paper and I'm wondering about the difference, weight-wise between the heavy and standard octagon barrels in 34" length? I'm up in the air as to caliber, either .45 2 6/10 or .45 2 7/8. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just happened to have a heavy and std 34 setting here.
hvy weighs 7 lbs. 7.5 oz.
std weighs 6 lbs. .3 oz.
