Installing a Malcom scope

I just bought an 18 inch Malcom scope, and wanted to mount it on my Sharps. Do I have to offset it, or can in be mounted on top of the barrel?
My concern is having it interfere with the hammer.
Thank you for your input

your scope goes down the middle of your rifle, your hammer is on the side. Not sure how it would interfere with it. you need to have your barrel drilled and tapped for mounts first though, then scope rings attach to that

If you're talking about one of the imported scopes, you'd probably be a lot better off and more satisfied if you save your money and b uy an MVA.

If you keep the scope low reaching the hammer is tight. I used a higher block combination so I can get my finger under the scope.
I found on my hunting rifle the low scope caused a problem getting a second shot chambered in the fouled barrel.
