Very good information and I thank you for sharing it. Your comment on how clean it burns makes me think it would be a good powder also for paper patched loads with a slightly under-bore-size wrapped bullet and grease cookie. At any rare I think now that I'll be testing both Swiss 3F and Swiss 1.5 in my 45-90.
I noticed the recommendation for Swiss 3F. You might also try lighting the Swiss with a large pistol primer, and using zero neck tension. This combination in my hi-walls produces really great groups. I am using the Federal match large pistol with a 0.030 fiber wad over 72 gr. of Swiss 3F powering a BACO 530 Postell grease groove. Use plenty of blow tube. Good luck!
