Steve Rhoades Design Cartridge Seating Tool

Post by SSShooter »

Too anyone who has an original or my copy of the Rhoades designed cartridge seating tool I suggest you drill a hold near the curve in the handle and thread a lanyard (I used a leather shoelace) thru the hole and attach it to your line box. I just sold another seater to a someone who lost his. The lanyard not only keeps you from forgetting the seater when you leave the line it makes easier to find while on the line.

Are you trying to minimize sales Glenn?

LOL, I went to the range today with the Hepburn forming new cases and I forgot to bring mine :D The Hep has zero caming . I might just own two and keep one in the truck. :D
What surprises me is some matches they don't allow you to use one :?

.. Gee...so I guess my standby, being a short length of dowel and a wooden mallet would also be out
Some just have no sense of adventure.
... Thankfully I'm lending mine more often than I've ever used it... but its nice to have it handy.

Mine had a hole in it when I received it. Has always had a lanyard on it. Don't need it often but sure comes in handy when you do :D

In the Army we called those "Dummy Cords" and for good reason. Get tired you'd have everything dummy corded so you didn't loose it!!! :P

Now that I think about that hole in the seating tool. I believe my buddy Lee ordered them and he most likely put the hole in it before he gave it to me. He's a big fan of lanyards on things.
