Ballistic Co effiecent

Post by Trigger Dr »

Is there ANYONE out there that can provide me with the BC of the Lyman 457132?
Just received the mould, cast 272 bullets, threw 17 back in the pot, going shooting tomorrow. Need the BC to calculate my sight settings.

"Need the BC to calculate my sight settings"......

Post by TYRVR »

DANG!
I don't ususally need the BCs until after I have shot.....then two of them washed down with a half pint of "Franklins Finest" tooth whitener, dulls the memory of the humiliation and sounds of laughter from my buddies to the point I can stand it.

Trigger Dr. the Co-eff. may not be published yet from Lyman as it is a new bullet, you may have to either run it through your program or use the Co.eff. from a like weight and design to get your rough settings.

Just for information. That bc for 457132 is the "real thing". It was taken over a 200 yard range surveyed to 1/10 of an inch. This experiment was done with Dr. Oehler, the chronograph maker, on his personal range in Texas. Alloy was 1/20 tin to lead and bullet weight was 536 grains.
