I'm not sure where to post this so move it if neeeded.
A while back I converted an 1863 Pedersoli Sharps to 45-70.
I had it out on the range today and thought someone might like to see it.
I fit and chambered the Green Mountain barrel, machined the action and fit a Pedersoli 1874 breech block. I fit a casting of an original Sharps conversion hammer to the lock.
I reshaped the action, lock and trigger plates to look more like an original and had the action re case hardened.
I added American walnut, poured a traditional Sharps nose cap and topped the rifle off with a Leatherwood Malcolm scope.
It shoots better than I can hold it.
