I have a '63 percussion Farmingdale military rifle in .45 cal. Can you tell me the twist rate?
60 grains FFg, home made beeswax/neatsfoot lube.
It looks like it will shoot the 385 Lyman round nose into 2" at 50 yds. About 4" with speer round balls.
405 gr lyman bullets and 450 lees hit sideways at 50 yards all over the paper.
Any suggestions for bullet?

From what I found out couple of years ago Shiloh has been applying the same 1:48 twist to both .54 and .45..
