Lead, I sure appreciate your interest. Since I'm new to all this, it is has certainly been frusrating.
However, what I'm now thinking is, that the alloy that was supposed to be 20:1 that a buddy passed on to get me started, he thinks now, might be closer to pure lead (he's kinda new, too), since he might have invertently skimmed off the tin in making the mix.
so, I'm starting all over with fresh elements, as soon as it stops raining out there, and see how that does.
Meahwhile, I'm counting down the days for "The Call" on my first Sporter#3, and would sure like to have a mess of loads ready to blow through it when that magic day comes.
