In playing with my '63 Military Rifle, I notice that all my groups have been slightly below POA using the 'as issue' sights.
This has been consistent out to 200 yards, becoming more pronounced at 100 and 200 yards. There is every reason to expect this trend to continue as the distance increases.
There being 39 3/8" in a metre, that means that a difference of 3 3/8" per metre when using sights graduated in yards.
Have I re-discovered fire here or are my results simply a function the load/rifle combination I'm using?
Or a combination of both?
Todd
PS: I received a "tongue in cheek" comment re: my use of the British/French spelling of "centre" and "metre".
That's just me celebrating the difference between our countries:
"Two similar peoples separated only by a common language."
Y'all know I'm kidding, right?

calibre vs caliber
My 1984 issue of the New Webster Encyclopedic Dictionary says both spellings are correct. Oddly enough, one of the root words is from Persian - kalab, a mould. Kind of appropriate.
However, not so for metre - one only spelling, meter.
So what did Will Rogers have to say on the matter, Ken?
