I am shooting smokeless loads out of my #1 sporter 45-70,what is the time required between shots for my shots to stay at normal accuracy?
Is it too much for the rifle to fire every ten seconds or so?

I think that every 10 seconds would be too fast and get too hot for any accuracy.
This brings up an interesting idea on barrel break-in, don't let the barrel get hot when breaking it in. I was talking to the folks at Badger Barrels and they said to wait for the barrel to completely cool between shots and cleanings. For example, take and entire saturday to break-in the barrel. They are sending me their break-in procedures and i will post them when I receive them. They bring up some really different ideas/nuances on barrel break-in.
