I think this rifle...is gonna work!

Hey Kirk:

Believe this rifle is gonna be OK! I was "short" on ammo as I had to save 3 rounds for shooting across the chrono....when the sun comes out but had these four I sent downrange from 200 yds.

Rick,

I have to disagree with you. That rifle is not gonna be OK. That rifle WORKS!!

I have a feeling that the gentleman shooting the rifle also had something to do with that tight group.

I've got a Beach front sight on at present; MVA #112 is enroute now I think to put up front! I've shot rifles over 50 years...and this is the damndest "turnaround" in accuracy I've ever seen just by merely changing some loading components!

Damn thing shoots akin to a Palma rifle!! :D

That was an amazing turnaround. But I still stand by my second one line paragraph in my post above. 8)

Sharpsman, rdnck and I were scheming(tongue somewhat in cheek) to try to buy that gun from you last week when it wasn't shooting up to par. I have a feeling the price has risen a bit(?).

Hey Sharpsman,

Could you give a little more detail on where you were, what you changed, and what you finished at load wise?? I would like to know, because I am having the same results with my 45-110 that you started out with, and have changed several things with not much luck (good luck that is). Any help would be appreciated!!

Pictures like that really make a guy want to head out to the range!! Nice shoot'n!!

Wow Sharpsman, that's a great group!!

If for some reason you decide, "It won't work", Send me a PM. I bet I could find a home for it in my safe. ;-)

Rick, I got about 10 more months before my Shiloh 45-110 gets here. I hope you and Rednk will help me out on what I need to load. I have ordered a Hartford made up just about like a Quigley.

Rick,
I own only one Sharps, an 1863 carbine. Hope to match it someday with a '63 rifle. Then a "74, and your group has me thinking! Great shooting and obvious homework!
