What to get
Hope everyone is doing good out there. Was thinking today I still have a long wait on my Shiloh order. Thinking of getting a sharps replica to shoot until then any ideas on a good rifle. Been looking at all companies. Thanks.

Re: What to get
I agree with what Don said.......But if you can't find one and you are in a hurry, Pedersoli is the way to go. I started with one, sold it to a young family who had sons that wanted to get in the game. I bought 3 Pedersoli's at that time, two for my friends and one for my self. The one has close to 30,000 rounds thru it. Gunbroker, always has Shilohs on auction, that would be my first choice and place to look.

Pick up the phone call Shiloh ask when the next spec guns for the gun library will be out. They are usually 45-70's so put down the deposit on your order gun. Buy one off the rack be learning and shooting while you wait. Hey you asked. Bobw

I have one on order been a year . If you don’t have a extra four grand laying around hard to just buy a Shiloh that’s why I ordered one. That’s why trying to figure out a cheaper alternative till my Shiloh is done. Thanks

No such thing as a good and inexpensive rifle unless it's from a friend wanting to do you a favor.

Re: What to get
If bryany got all the years back he had to wait to get all his Shilohs, he'd be a pretty (well, not "pretty"...) young (berg) guy...
I had to wait for 3 of 'em through the past years myself, and one of the thought things that'd go through my noggin was, "Geeze, I wonder if I'll still be alive when my gun's done?" Anyway, I'm still around, still alive, kickin' and shootin.' Waitin' for a Shiloh is just one of the "rites of passage" things one has to endure to be a bona fide B.P.C.R. shooter/owner of a Big Timber gun. Yup, like ol' bryany sez, "Just be patient, I know it's hard." A gun crank truism, certain sure.

Re: What to get
Geeze, you guys with long waits make me feel really guilty. The four or 5 Shilohs I bought new were before Quigley. I don't think I ever waited more than a couple of months for any of them. Two of them I bought from Droege at the Virginia City Buffalo Runners shoot - - didn't even have to wait for shipping. Couldn't afford a new one now anyway. The last couple of ones I bought came off GunBroker.

Heck George when Wolfgang ran the business it took 5 years to get it.
