DD,
Rather than drown out the 40-82 thread with all the screaching noise that cat is making, why don't you go ahead and let it out of the bag.
I've got the turpentine ready.

Re: Cat
Yeah, obviously a problem.
I fired 55 rounds at Phoenix last week without cleaning, just bore wipes. First Hoppes patch up the bore after the shooting came out clean. Lead removal patch on tight cotton patch that followed came up clean also.

Interesting invite 62. I will point out that on your bio you did not list where you are and you did not identify the match in question.
BTW, being born and raised on the NE Coast of Florida I would rather live in AZ at 100F with 10% humidity than FL at 80F and 90% + humidity.
So when I check out a match the first thing I do is go to Weather Underground and see what the H factor is.
Black Powder Target is shot in the open, not in the shade.
If one is using Black Powder with GG bullets and is not using BACO bore wipes with MPro7 'Cleaner', in front of a 'damp' patch moistened with a 1-10 mix of water soluble oil and distilled water, they can expect to have some level of bore fouling which in turn promotes barrel leading.
I have yet to see that this method, when employed properly, provides too much barrel fouling control.
With that said, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Norwegian event? I’m interested. Does it snow at Ben Avery in January?
