Re: 2f
Don't know what your velocity will be. Mine has a 30". Your extra 4 might be slower. The original ammo was loaded with 500 gr ppb with 90 grs Fg. If you look at any of the old buffalo hunter pics you will note that hunting ammo was short or seated deeper. That's how it survived in those buffalo belts. Dan O hit it, no air space. Back when I loaded 2 fg it was Kik brand and it worked well. Don't know what you have. Try 90grs wads down tight, lube wad, another card wad then the ppb. Sharps maintained that Fg was the way to go that finer grades would work but developed more pressure than needed. Which might give you too fast of bump up on your bullet. Nobody can do your load development but you. Bobw

Re: 2f
The original load was 90 grains, later increased to 100 grains. My hunting load is 110 grains of 2F with a 1/4” lube wad and the bullet 3/16” in the case. I also have 525 grain bullet that’s 3/10” deep with a lube wad and 100 grains of 2F. Both shoot very well. Essentially determine where you want the bullet and how much compression you need for a clean burn and fill the case.
