In the past people ask about a 2nd run of vol.#2 that came out first about 74's as they are sold out. ROY TOLD ME THAT IT WILL BE LOOKED AT after volume 4 is done and shipped. Volume #2's have sold for 4 figure amounts in the secondary market. If anyone is interest I noticed back on 3/17/24 in the 24 hr campfire classifieds someone was selling # 1,#2,& # 3 as a set with jackets and shipping. Bobw

Set is also for sale on the ASSRA forum. Three volumes for $480. Not mine, not selling. Just out there for those that are looking for the set.

Just got my copies of vol1 and 3. Low and behold one of my collection is in Vol 3! Totally mis identified as a "Unknown gunsmith" conversion when it is actually a 1868 factory converted NM1859 Rifle with 3 groove liner serial number inside the Berdan's rifles. But not important. THese are very nice books and glad I fnally got them. They are a bt thin on cartouch identification but you can't have everythng.

Ordered volume 4 and will complete the set. Hope to see a slip cover for them now that book sizes are known.

I just bought 1 and 3 from Buffalo with their 15% sale at $85 each. Great picture books but lacks some of the seril number and description detail I was hoping for. THinking on vol 4 but need to see index since I have little interest in 1878s.

For Volume 4, I worked on the Chapter on ‘Sharps Long Range Rifles in Great Britain & Ireland’ with (the late) De Witt Bailey.

The latest information circulated on the 492 page volume, including a list of chapters can be found in a News page on my web site - Sharps Firearms, Volume 4
