So my .43 Spanish brass ended up being a perfect fit. I have to expand the neck to hold a .452” bullet but other than that the dimensions are the same as my .43 Spanish shells. My action pins were very worn causing some slop so ordered up some larger pins after trying some larger diameter military pins I had on hand. Fortunately both the action, hammer and block wore in at basically the same rate so the bigger pins really help. I have a lot of projects going one but am slowly making progress on this rifle.

Yeah, my wife says I have ADD since I always have to be working on something and often hop from project to project. Working on antique guns, it’s often easier to find the project gun vs parts for the project, lol.

For rimmed cases that need to be fire formed to the chamber on the first firing I have had good luck using the small rubber bands that my daughters used to put their hair in ponytails.
They’re cheap and work or you can also use very small O-rings. Just slide the rubber band over the case so that it sits against the front of the rim and when you chamber the round it’ll be held firmly against the breach face so that the shoulder blows forward to the chamber. It worked in my .303 British which often has a way oversized chamber. I’ll bet it would work great in the .43 if your rims don’t fill the recess in the chamber.
