Puzzled by in stock #2206
Isn't that configured ideally for BPCR or am I wrong? And if it is, why has it not been grabbed up by some one wanting to get into the game? Or is this sport fizzling out like Schuetzen? Curious minds want to know.
Thank you,
Charles

What’s puzzling?
Read the weight, of the rifle as is.
Add sights to that, most likely will not make weight for BPCRS. But sure will for scope class.

Competition standards have never ruled my life. If I get through there this fall and find it appealing, it might just disappear.

Both of those rifles are very plain Jane and heavy I think most people who want to do BPCRS want to pick their own options, barrel sights on a heavy barrel doesn’t appeal to me and adds weight. Barrel sights are for hunting in my mind and learning to use the Lawrence ladder is useful in getting a little more use out of the rifle. I like the rifles just don’t know a specific application for their configuration other than very nice casual shooting guns or as Kenny said scope class.Isn't that configured ideally for BPCR or am I wrong? They are especially good, the one you mentioned perfect for midrange as the limit is 15#.

Dollars to donuts neither rifle will be there by the end of the week.
If you decide to take the #1 have them drill and tap for a scope before it ships. That way you'll be covered if the rifle with sights won't "make weight" by adding a scope. 7.2 inch spacing will get you into an MVA B5 if silly wet is where your headed, or the DZ scope that will cover both silly wet and creedmoor. Or you can skip the tin can rolling, and play the target rifle game with irons.

That #3 they just put up would make someone a dandy field rifle.

ANd BTW a midrange soule and #112 front sight only weight 6ounces so #2206 would be 11lbs 12oz and is not the legal limit 12lb2oz? or is my logic all wrong?
